LeishGEM.org is a new collaborative project with the Gluenz, Mottram and Sunter labs for genome wide deletion mutant phenotyping and protein localisation analysis (including LeishTag) in Leishmania.
TrypTag.org is the home of the data from TrypTag, a 4-year project which determined the localisation of every protein encoded in the Trypanosoma brucei genome. Richard was co-PI on this project and this data set is a key resource for the future.
Richard has a long history of teaching and working with graduate students in WACCBIP - the West African Centre for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens in the University of Ghana. He is a member of the adjunct international faculty and maintains teaching and research links.
Richard is one of a team of scientific advisors for Dewpoint Therapeutics, a Boston and Dresden-based company aiming to exploit or modulate biomolecular condensates to tackle challenging diseases.
The Wheeler lab is hosted by the Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen research on South Parks Road in the centre of Oxford.
The Wheeler lab is part of the Nuffield Department of Medicine of the University of Oxford
